Symphonic Band
The Symphonic Band is open to any Ouachita student with high school band experience.
The Symphonic Band performs concerts during the spring as well as providing music
for university activities such as Spring Commencement.
The Symphonic Band performs a variety of selections each year. One project of the
Symphonic Band is to introduce new literature to future teachers and band audiences.
The Symphonic Band rehearses two times per week during the spring semester, Tuesdays
and Thursdays from 4-6 p.m. There are auditioned scholarships available for participation
in the Symphonic Band. Members receive 0.5 hour of academic credit.
