Fun Facts
Dr. Deborah Root's husband, Dr. Jeff Root, serves as dean of the School of Humanities
and the Huckabee School of Education. He has served as adviser of the Signal since 1991, and was editor of the Signal in 1981-1982.
The Roots are a family of teachers. Jeff's parents were former faculty/staff members
at Ouachita, and the Roots' daughter and son-in-law, Abby ('17) and Stephen ('15)
Curry, are teachers at Little Rock Christian Academy.
